American spelling hegemony

Norm Beazer-3
Some further observations

1.  Bean has no separate preference for spelling, so correctly displays British spelling

2.  MS Word has a Spelling and Grammar preference, but not a language choice that I can find.
So I seem to be limited to USA spellings when using Word

3.  Nisus Writer Express has a preference for language, which also fixes the problem.

I don’t use Word very often, but it would be nice to know if it too can be put right.

It seems that spelling choice may be determined by the application.  Why bother then with a universal setting ??

And also in style sheet definitions. Best to edit them in the Normal.dotx template, as well as setting the page size to A4, assuming the ROTW apart from the US and US influenced countries.
