how to stop Apple mail autocomplete for e-mail addresses

Robert Tallitsch
Due to sloppy typing I entered two e-mail addresses incorrectly in Contacts. Upon realizing the problem I corrected them in contacts but now, due to Apple Mail’s autocomplete, those addresses are automatically filled in incorrectly. I can’t find anything in Mail’s preferences to turn off regarding autocomplete. How can I eliminate those incorrect e-mail addresses, as they are people I contact multiple times a day.

Thanks in advance

Bob

In Mail…Window->Previous Recipients and remove the incorrect email addresses from the list. Then quit Mail and next time you open it it should pull the correct ones from Contacts.

on the Mail menubar, choose Windows > Previous Recipients.  Eliminate them for that list.

Bob,
Go to the Window menu and select Previous Recipients. That will pull up the list of people you've emailed before. Then just delete the ones that are incorrect.

I hope this helps.
